El Sendero Trail Race will be on Saturday, December 14 2013.
In for the long haul? The El Sendero Endurance Trail Race is now a weekend long festival, now called the Trail Mix Festival, featuring many endurance challenges, from mountain biking to trail racing. all races feature challenging terrain and more than a few spectacular views as it winds through this enormous hill country ranch.
If 60k sounds too far, 40K and 20K distances are also offered. If those sound too far, this isn't the race for you. Go long or go home - which path will you choose?
The weekend will also feature:
Friday- 3 hr race 5-8pm (Runner who does the most laps in 3 hr wins!)
Saturday- 6 hour MTB race as well as a duathlon.
There is even a kids event Saturday, which offers hiking, mountain biking, repelling, and hiking. This event is administered and supported by Outdoor Wilderness Adventure

*Race day packet pickup will be available starting at 5am until race start. All runners need to pick up their timing chip on race morning.
COURSE & AID STATIONS - Map of course
All three races will take place on a challenging, scenic 20K loop. Aid stations will be provided roughly every 3.1 miles and offer a full spread of snacks and fluids to keep you going - fruit, pretzels, trail mix, pb&j, electrolyte drinks, water, etc. Hand held bottles are highly recommended for all runners. We are a cupless race (for the most part).
Will be 20 minute/mile pace will need to be maintained.
Overall awards will be given to the top male & female, top male & female master, top male & female grand-master and age group awards will be given in five-year categories.
There will be pre-race camping at Reveille Peak Ranch, check out their website for more information. While not required, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of it! Camping is not only a great pre-race camaraderie-builder, but also allows a few crucial extra minutes of sleep and prevents race-day transportation concerns. Facilities include a huge pavilion for dinner and clean restrooms/showers .
RACE DAY MEALS
Runners will be provide post race food after their race. After the 20k we will provide breakfast type food. Oatmeal with topings, breakfast tacos, coffee and juice. After the 40k and 60k we will provide lunch fare: hamburgers, etc.
