Rogue Riff Raff Results

Friends of Coach Panther's Riff Raff runner Christy Burley earlier this week read " Christy wants a BQ for her Birthday" on her Facebook wall.  Well, after a strong fight and pure determination on a very cold morning, that's exactly what she got at this weekend's Memphis St Jude' Marathon!  Christy PR'd by 2 mins finishing in a Boston Qualifiying time of 3:45:42.  Congratulations, Christy!  See you in Boston!

Two other Riff Raff runners, Brian Gannon and Rawide Callais had equally impressive outings:

Brian literally "crushed" his old marathon PR by 16 minutes finishing in a strong time of 3:24:36.  That's about 35 seconds per mile faster!  Congrats, Brian!

Rawide didn't disappoint either delivering a new PR on the half marathon course.  Rawhide bested his previous personal best by 6 minutes, approximately 30 seconds per mile!

Who says team Riff Raff does nothing but Party it up?!  They've got some seriously strong runners!  Congrats to all 2 of you, what a performance!

* David Yin, of Team Riff Raff also ran the full marathon, but did not race it.

North Face Endurance Challenge 50km Trail Race:

Just north of San Francisco, in the Marin Headlands, Rasim Musal of Team Rogue, affectionately known as "Muz" conquered the very challenging course of over 7,500 feet of elevation gain in the 50km (31 mile) North Face Endurance Challenge.

Muz went out to San Francisco with a score to settle against the course that he felt had won the battle a year earlier.  This time, the course was no match as he improved by over 1 hour and 4 minutes to finish in a spectacular 4th place overall, in a time of 4 hours 45 minutes and 10 seconds, just 7 short minutes off 2nd place!   Big Congrats, Muz; that's outstanding!

Who says Austin road/trail hybrid runners can't compete outside of the region?!  Muz just showed otherwise with next to no taper!

Congrats Rogues, way to represent out of state!
