Registration Race Details & Directions Registration Details

Rogue Running will sponsor and produce a new 30-kilometer (30K or 18.6 miles) road race in 2013. The 30K will be the 5th of 6 races in the Austin Fit Magazine Distance Challenge . The Distance Challenge already includes the IBM 10K , Run For The Water 10 Miler, Decker Challenge Half Marathon , 3M Half Marathon , and the Livestrong Austin Marathon and Half Marathon . The race will take place on January 27th, 2013 in Cedar Park, Texas. In addition to the 30K race, a 10-kilometer (10K or 6.2 miles) race will also be offered on the same day.
With this race, the 30K distance will return to the Distance Challenge after a 5-year hiatus. Most recently in 2008, the ARA 30K took place in the hilly Barton Creek Country Club area. Prior to this short stint in the Bee Caves area, the RunTex 30K was run for 7 years in the city of Buda.
The 30K race will take place 3 weeks before the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon and will be a great way to test fitness and pacing prior to the final race in the Distance Challenge. The new course will start and finish at Cedar Park High School and be a large loop that allows runners to see many portions of the City of Cedar Park. The 10K race will start immediately following the 30K race and be run on portions of the same course.
Free Kids 1K: Rogue will sponsor a free kids 1K starting at 9am at the High school track. Entrants will receive a bib # and a ribbon.
