This program is for those interested in training through the summer
to get ready for the Austin Marathon or Half marathon program that will start in early September 2009, or athletes who want to maintain their fitness
during the hot months of summer.
Starting on May 2nd, you will run one long run a
week with the Fall Marathon training group on
Saturdays at 6am. The program will meet at the Rogue Training Center,
500 San Marcos, on the corner of east 5th and San Marcos, just 2 blocks
east of IH35. The routes will be occasionally on the Town Lake trail,
but mostly on the streets and through neighborhoods of Austin. Long
runs start at 5 - 7 miles and peak at 14 miles in August. The last group run will be on August
29th.
Highlights:
