Club Rogue, a new form of training that will develop
a
cohesive group of committed runners who take on a series of races
together throughout the year, under the direction of a single coach. The
program will allow you to become a versatile, well-rounded runner as
you cover the intricacies of shorter distance/faster pace racing, trail
running and eventually long distance endurance running.
Club Rogue will consist of three groups, at three different levels. The Rogue Rogues:
This group is suitable for those with minimal experience. The Rogue
Rogues will take on the Texas Independence Day 5K, the Texas Roundup
10K, a 10K trail race as part of the Rogue series, Zilker Relays and
the San Antonio Half Marathon.
- Lead by Ruth England
- Starting January 11th with the Basic Training for a 10k class
The Ultimate Rogue:
This group is perfect for those who have some experience and would like
to run a marathon in 2010. The Ultimate Rogues will take on a 10K trail
race as part of the Rogue series, the Capitol 10,000, a 30K trail race
as part of the Rogue series, Zilker Relays and the Houston Marathon.
- Lead by Darren Brown
- Starting with Darren's own 10k class that starts in January
The Extreme Rogue:This
group is for those with a lot of miles under their belt who are hungry
for more! The Extreme Rogues will start in March and over the course of
the program tackle two marathons, a 50K, a 50 miler and, eventually,
the Leadville 100. This is only for the true extremists!
- Lead by TBA
- Starting in March
Everyone who completes all of the races will receive a great reward (the sort you can wear) at the end, and will have a laundry list of bragging rights!
All
Club Rogue members must make a 3 month initial commitment, then will
have a chance to withdraw if needed or recommit and stick with the
challenge and their team. Sign up before January 1 to receive a discounted rate of $60/mo; after that time, the regular rate of $65/mo will apply.
Take
this chance to fine-tune yourself as a runner, ensure a year of
rewarding experiences and to be a part of close-knit, motivated group
with a dedicated coach.
It is possible to join the group at a later date. It is important to contact the coaches about how this can work.
