
This 8 week program
is both an introduction to trial running and a base maintenance session that bridges
those who cannot wait for the Winter Trail Program to begin. It does not build
distance, but instead builds endurance by establishing a foundation via trail
running during the hottest part of the summer. Expect to get off the standard
paths and routes, and go exploring just a bit. This one should be a lot of fun.
Runners should be able to cover at least 3 miles on trails comfortably before the start of this program. Besides the trails, we will explore equipment, hydration & nutritional needs.
The program will meet on Sunday mornings and start with 3 miles at 7am.
