I coach at:   Allen High School

Coaching experience and philosophy:  I’ve been coaching for 16 years.  I didn’t even start running long distance until 4 months after my second daughter was born. You don’t have to grow up a runner to be a runner, anyone can do it as long as you commit to the training.  Always “Pay the Man”, You will get out of it, what you put into it.

Advice for our new Rogues:  Be ALL in, have fun and follow the schedule.  Show up, even on the days you don’t want to.  It’s not just about the race but the journey you took to get there.   Be in the moment and build relationships with those you train with. Those relationships will get you through some of the toughest days and those people will become some of your best friends.

My most memorable race:  Gosh, there are so many great marathon memories over the years  but Ironman Texas 2017 will go down in history as the best moment ever!  There is no other feeling like crossing that finish line.

An interesting fact about me:  My first attempt in completing an Ironman ended by being pulled from the race 6 miles short of the finish line due to dehydration.  I came back the following year more determined to finish than ever.  With a crowd of family and friends supporting me along the way, I crossed that finish line and became an Ironman!  My motto- She believed she could, so she did!
